On the Edge of the Storm

While participating in a storm chasing photography tour I ended up making images I hadn’t planned for or anticipated. Tornadoes, supercell thunderstorms and lightning are what I expected and hoped to photograph and certainly did that. But on the edges of those storms; before, after or adjacent to one of the more “spectacular” weather events, I found much more personal and meaningful images that don’t necessarily look like typical storm chasing photographs yet couldn’t have been made without those amazing conditions.
